Bhubaneswar businessman missing, car found near Trishulia bridge
Bhubaneswar, Aug 2: An online trader from Bhubaneswar, Tushar Bhatt, has been missing since Wednesday. His car was found parked at Trishulia Bridge in Cuttack, raising suspicions that he may have committed suicide by jumping into the Kathajodi River.
Acting on a tip-off, the Fire Department launched a rescue operation for Bhatt, who hails from Gujarat. He was residing with his wife, Elina Bhatt, near the KIIT area in Bhubaneswar. Elina filed a missing person's complaint at Barang Police Station.
Tushar had previously worked at a bank before transitioning to online stock market trading. Initially, he made significant profits, prompting him to leave his bank job to trade full-time. However, he later faced substantial losses, which led to mental stress and depression.
According to Elina, Tushar left their home around 2 PM on Wednesday. Despite her complaint and the subsequent search operation by Barang police, his whereabouts remain unknown.
On Wednesday evening, locals reported seeing a car parked for an extended period near Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Setu at Trishulia, between Barang and Cuttack. The police recovered the locked car and brought it to the station for investigation. Elina identified the car and shoes found inside as belonging to her husband.
