No-confidence vote against Junagarh NAC Chairman postponed

Bhubaneswar, Aug 1: The no-confidence vote against Mukesh Agarwal, Chairman of the Junagarh Notified Area Council (NAC), scheduled for today, has been postponed.
Sources indicate that the vote was delayed due to the absence of the Additional District Magistrate (ADM). The motion was introduced by 10 councilors, led by the NAC Vice-Chairman, who accused Agarwal of various irregularities.
The councilors lodged a complaint with the Kalahandi District Collector on July 16, prompting the Collector to schedule the no-confidence vote for August 1. However, with the ADM absent, the vote has been deferred, and the Collector will announce a new date soon.
Currently, out of the 12 councilors in Junagarh NAC, 10 are affiliated with the BJD, while 2 are from the BJP.
