IMD forecasts increased rainfall across Odisha amid cyclonic circulation

Bhubaneswar, July 39: The regional center of the IMD has forecasted increased rainfall across Odisha, closely monitoring a cyclonic circulation over the neighboring state of Jharkhand.
According to the midday bulletin from the weather office, “A cyclonic circulation is situated over Jharkhand and its surrounding areas, extending from 3.1 to 7.6 km above mean sea level and tilting southwards with height.”
Light to moderate rainfall has been observed in many areas of Coastal Odisha and a few locations in the interior districts. The district of Mayurbhanj has experienced heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated spots, while some areas in Balasore and Jagatsinghpur have also seen heavy rainfall.
The highest maximum temperature of 35.0°C was recorded in Paralakhemundi, and the lowest minimum temperature of 22.5°C was recorded in Nabarangpur.
