Goods train derails in Bhubaneswar, disrupts rail services

Bhubaneswar, July 29: A goods train derailed again in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, early Monday morning at around 1:35 am at Mancheswar Station yard. Senior railway officials promptly arrived on the scene and initiated restoration work, successfully clearing the down line for train movement by 5:05 am.
Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported. However, the incident led to the cancellation of two trains and the rescheduling of six others.

08534 (PSA-CTC) JCO-29.07.2024
08432 (PURI-CTC) JCO-29.07.2024
Short-Terminated Trains:
18126 (PURI-ROU) JCO-29/07/24 service between Puri and Angul
18125 (ROU-PURI) JCO-29/07/24 short-terminated at Angul and will resume as 18126 from Angul to Rourkela
This marks the second derailment in the past three days, with two wagons of a goods train having derailed near Mancheswar station recently. Due to the derailment, the following trains have been cancelled on July 29, 2024:
08431 Cuttack-Puri MEMU
08446/08445 Paradeep-Cuttack-Paradeep MEMU (both directions)
08407/08408 Cuttack-Paradeep-Cuttack MEMU (both directions)
08414/08413 Puri-Talcher-Puri MEMU (both directions)
Partially Cancelled Trains on July 29, 2024:
08422/08421 Gunupur-Cuttack-Gunupur Special will run between Gunupur and Bhubaneswar and remain cancelled between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack (both directions)
08415/08416 Jaleswar-Puri-Jaleswar MEMU will run between Jaleswar and Cuttack and remain cancelled between Cuttack and Puri (both directions)
