Comprehensive steps to protect Ratna Bhandar during inspection and repairs: Justice Rath

Bhubaneswar, July 29: Justice Biswanath Rath, chairman of the high-level committee overseeing the inventorization of the Puri Srimandir’s Ratna Bhandar, has assured that all measures will be taken to protect the temple's structure, utilizing the latest technology to address any concerns.
Following a crucial meeting in Puri, Justice Rath announced that all cupboards and chests in the Ratna Bhandar will be relocated before any repair work begins. "The temple administration will select a room to shift the cupboards, ensuring the entire Ratna Bhandar is emptied. This step, previously not included in the SOP, is now deemed necessary for preservation," he said.
The committee has decided to employ the latest technology and non-destructive instruments for inspection. "If any issues are detected during the inspection, appropriate steps for repairs will be taken. We are recommending additions to the SOP to the managing committee, which will then be sent to the Odisha government. Only after completing the repair work will the inventorization process commence," stated Justice Rath.
