Odisha CM pays tribute to Kargil War heroes on 25th Vijay Diwas

Bhubaneswar, July 26: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday paid tribute to the bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty during the 1999 Kargil War.
Taking to Twitter, Majhi wrote, “As we commemorate the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas, we offer our deepest reverence to the fearless sons of India who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s protection. The courage and sacrifices of these heroic martyrs are forever remembered. The country will never forget the sacrifice of martyrs.”
It is pertinent to mention that Kargil Vijay Diwas, observed annually on July 26, commemorates the success of Operation Vijay in 1999. During this conflict, Indian forces successfully reclaimed strategic positions in the Kargil sector of Jammu and Kashmir that had been infiltrated by Pakistani soldiers and terrorists. The day serves as a reminder of the bravery and dedication of the Indian armed forces and their unwavering commitment to the nation’s security. Majhi's tribute highlights the enduring gratitude and respect for these heroes.
