IMD forecasts four days of heavy rainfall across Odisha

Bhubaneswar, July 23: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall across most parts of Odisha for the next four days, starting Tuesday.
For today, the IMD forecasts heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) at one or two places in the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Bolangir, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Boudh, Nayagarh, Puri, Khurda, and Bargarh.
On July 24, heavy to very heavy rainfall (above 11 cm) is expected in isolated areas of Bargarh, Boudh, Sonepur, and Sambalpur districts. Additionally, heavy rainfall (7-11 cm) is likely in parts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Nayagarh, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, and Kendrapara districts.
The forecast for July 25 predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall in Kendrapara, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, and Angul, with heavy rainfall expected in Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Jajpur, Sambalpur, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar.
For July 26, heavy rainfall (7-11 cm) is expected in isolated areas of 13 districts, including Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri.
According to the regional weather office report, on July 27, heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) is very likely at one or two places in the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, and Jharsuguda.
For July 28 and July 29, the IMD predicts light to moderate rain/thundershowers in many places across Odisha.
