Vehicle plunges into canal, resulting in man’s death in Cuttack
Bhubaneswar, July 23: In a tragic incident on Tuesday, a man lost his life after his car plunged into the Pattamundai canal near Bheda village, within the Mahanga police station limits in Cuttack district.
The deceased has been identified as Anil Kumar Rout from Arilo village, Sahapur Panchayat, under Mahanga police jurisdiction.
Reports indicate that Anil was en route to Bhubaneswar to visit his father, Brahmananda Rout, when he lost control of his vehicle, which then fell into the Pattamundai canal.
Nearby farmers, upon hearing about the accident, rushed to the scene and rescued the injured Anil by breaking open the car window. He was promptly taken to the Mahanga Community Health Centre for treatment, but doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
