Odisha CM mourns passing of Gajapati ADM Birendra Kumar Das
Bhubaneswar, July 11: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed deep sorrow on Thursday over the passing of Birendra Kumar Das, the additional district magistrate (ADM) of Gajapati district.
In a statement, the Chief Minister said, "Late Das was a dedicated and duty-bound officer who tirelessly worked for the public's benefit. He was highly praised for his administrative skills and was an asset to the state. The state has lost a capable and efficient administrator in his passing."
The Chief Minister also extended his condolences to Das's bereaved family.
Das reportedly died of a suspected heart attack. He collapsed while performing at a cultural event hosted by the Gajapati district administration last night and was rushed to MKCG Medical College, where he passed away.
