Pune mishap claims life of Odisha labourer, family seeks assistance

Bhubaneswar, July 4: A labourer from Odisha tragically lost his life while working in Pune, Maharashtra, according to reports on Thursday. The deceased, identified as 22-year-old Buddhadev Mendali, hailed from Hilunga village in Sonepur district under Birmaharajpur Police Station limits.
Buddhadev had been employed as a labourer in Pune for the past three years. Unfortunately, he fell to his death while working on the 1st of this month and was immediately rushed to the hospital. Despite receiving treatment, he succumbed to his injuries.
Upon receiving the devastating news, his family rushed to Pune and arrived there today. The body has been sent for autopsy. Hiramani Mendali, Buddhadev's father, is now faced with the daunting task of arranging to transport his son's body back home. In desperation, he has sought assistance from the Labour Association, as per reports.
