Grand ceremony marks Deba Snana Purnima festival in Puri

Bhubaneswar, June 22: The Deba Snana Purnima festival, a significant celebration of Lord Jagannath concluded in Puri with immense religious fervor and grandeur.
In a majestic procession, the divine siblings, Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra, were ceremonially escorted from the Ratna Singhasana to the Snana Bedi. Here, they were bathed with sacred water from 108 pitchers. Lord Jagannath received 35 pots of water, Lord Balabhadra 33 pots, Devi Subhadra 22 pots, and Lord Sudarshan 18 pots in this sacred ritual.
This event is a pivotal part of the Snana Yatra festival, serving as a prelude to the renowned Rath Yatra in Puri.
Thousands of devotees thronged the pilgrim city to witness and seek blessings from the deities on this auspicious occasion. Elaborate arrangements have been put in place to ensure the smooth conduct of the Snana Purnima festival.
