Odisha schools extend early classes through friday amid heatwave

Bhubaneswar, June 20: The Odisha government has extended morning classes for all government, government-aided, and private schools from class I to XII until Friday due to the prevailing hot and humid conditions across the state.
The Information and Public Relations department issued a press release quoting the School and Mass Education department. According to the release, morning classes will be held on June 21 from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
The School and Mass Education department also announced that regular class schedules will resume from June 22 onwards.
Previously, the government had implemented morning classes for three days and instructed district Collectors to adjust the timings or declare holidays based on the weather conditions in their respective districts.
