Odisha CM pays tribute at Utkalmani Pandit Gopabandhu's birthplace

Bhubaneswar, June 13: On Thursday, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi visited Suando village near Sakshigopal in Puri district, the birthplace of Utkalmani Pandit Gopabandhu, to pay tribute to him. Accompanying the Chief Minister were his deputies, KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, along with Sambit Patra, BJP MP from Puri constituency, and several other party MPs and MLAs.
Prior to this visit, Majhi and his Council of Ministers visited the Puri Jagannath Temple, where they paid obeisance to Lord Jagannath and his deity siblings. In line with the BJP's election promise, all four gates of the 12th-century shrine were opened in their presence following the morning Alati.
In Suando, the Chief Minister, his ministers, and MPs engaged with local residents, listening to their grievances. Addressing the villagers, Majhi reaffirmed the BJP's commitment to fulfilling the promises made in their election manifesto, emphasizing that these promises are guarantees from Prime Minister Modi. He also announced that the state government would soon introduce a new policy for the farmers of Odisha, which aims to address and resolve several of their issues.
