BSF jawan's body found on railway tracks in Koraput district
Bhubaneswar, June 11: Tragedy struck as the body of a BSF jawan was discovered on railway tracks in Koraput district on Tuesday. The deceased, identified as Dhrubraj Pradhan from Jharsuguda under Banharpali Police Station, was stationed at a BSF camp in the locality.
Pradhan had left the camp for some office errands on Monday afternoon but failed to return. His lifeless body was found on the Koraput Landiguda New Colony railway track the following day.
Authorities are yet to determine the cause of his death. The Government Railway Police (GRP) has initiated an investigation into the matter but is grappling with whether the incident was a suicide or murder.
BSF officials, upon notification, arrived at the scene to identify the body. The tragic event has cast a pall of sorrow over the area.
