Special Secretary Sujata R. Karthikeyan granted six-month leave

Bhubaneswar, June 7: Sujata R. Karthikeyan, the Special Secretary of the Finance Department, has taken a six-month leave to care for her daughter, who is preparing for her Class X board exams.
According to a notification from the General Administration (GA) Department, she was granted 180 days of leave starting from May 31 under Rule 18-D of the AIS (Leave) Rules, 1955.
The notification stated: “Sujata R. Karthikeyan, IAS, (RR-2000), Special Secretary to Government, Finance Department, is granted Child Care Leave for a period of 6 months, i.e., 180 days, from 31.05.2024 to 26.11.2024 to take care of her minor daughter appearing for her 10th exam as per Rule 18-D of AIS (Leave) Rules, 1955.”
The Child Care Leave will not be deducted from her leave account, and she will continue to receive her current salary during this period.
