Man dies in car accident while en route to Sabitri festival celebration
Bhubaneswar, June 6: A tragic accident occurred near Balichanda Ghat in Anantpur Panchyat, under Soro police jurisdiction in Odisha’s Balasore district on Thursday morning, resulting in the death of a man. Reports indicate that the victim, identified as Sunil Barik, a resident of Balimed village in Odisha’s Bhadrak district, was returning home with his daughter to celebrate the Sabitri festival.
While on their way, a speeding car collided with them, critically injuring Sunil Barik. Despite being rushed to the Anantapur Community Health Centre (CHC) by locals, he succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital.
Upon receiving information, a police team from the Anantpur outpost arrived at the CHC, where Sunil's body was sent for autopsy. An investigation into the tragic incident has been initiated by the authorities.
