PM Modi's visit to Odisha prompts tightened security measures

Bhubaneswar, May 4: According to reports received on Saturday, Prime Minister Modi is set to arrive in Odisha tomorrow, prompting a significant increase in security measures in the temple city. Security has been bolstered in Bhubaneswar, with arrangements spanning from the Airport to the Raj Bhavan (Governor's House).
Discussions have been held regarding heightened security coverage, including assistance from the Special Protection Group (SPG) at the airport. Both the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and local police forces will be deployed to ensure safety.
Reliable sources indicate the implementation of a three-tiered security setup in Bhubaneswar. Furthermore, reports state that a no-fly zone for drones will be enforced during Modi's visit, with a carcade rehearsal scheduled for this evening.
To ensure the Prime Minister's safety, a significant deployment of security personnel is planned. This includes the assignment of three Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs), 10 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs), 17 Inspectors-in-Charge (IICs), and 90 Sub-Inspectors/Assistant Sub-Inspectors (SIs/ASIs). Additionally, 20 platoons of force will be stationed, with provisions made for effective traffic control.
Further reports indicate that roads will be barricaded during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit. However, as of now, no information regarding road shows or other public programs in Bhubaneswar has been released.
