Sambalpur University suspends Assistant Professor for indiscipline

Sambalpur, April 20: Sambalpur University authorities have taken disciplinary action against Assistant Professor Rajat Kumar Kujur from the Political Science and Public Administration Department. Following allegations of indiscipline, the Chancellor's directive led to his suspension, as confirmed by the university registrar.
The suspension stemmed from accusations of misconduct towards the PG council chairperson and the dissemination of offensive content about her on social media. An inquiry ensued, resulting in the recommendation for Kujur's suspension based on the investigation's outcomes.
During the suspension period, Kujur is confined to the office of the PG Council Chairperson, as per the university's notification. Additionally, access to the administrative building, PG departments/sections, and the Library has been restricted, along with a prohibition on attending any university meetings.
Despite the suspension, Kujur will receive a subsistence allowance equivalent to his leave salary, as outlined in the notification.
