Bhubaneswar businessman found dead in guest house under mysterious circumstances

Bhubaneswar, April 19: A businessman's decomposed body was discovered by the police on Thursday in a guest house located in Bhubaneswar. The deceased, identified as Tapan Prasad Acharjya, was the proprietor of Subham Bio CNG Pvt Ltd, a company based in Bhubaneswar. Acharjya hailed from Phulbani in Odisha’s Kandhamal district.
Reports indicate that Acharjya's decomposed remains were found at Shanti Guest House in Gajapati Nagar, within the jurisdiction of Maitri Vihar police station in Bhubaneswar. The 45-year-old businessman had arrived in Bhubaneswar for a corporate meeting on Tuesday and had checked into Room No. 202 of the guest house.
His body was discovered on Thursday, lying in a pool of blood underneath the bed, and subsequently taken to Capital Hospital for post-mortem examination. Acharjya's family has been notified of the tragic event.
The police have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding Acharjya's demise.
