Amrit Ruturaj appointed as new Collector of Dhenkanal
Bhubaneswar, March 23: Amrit Ruturaj, an IAS officer of the 2015 batch, has been appointed as the new Collector and District Magistrate of Dhenkanal.
The notification issued by the General Administration department today stated, "In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 20 (1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 (Act of 1974), the state government do hereby appoint Amrit Ruturaj, IAS, as the District Magistrate of Dhenkanal."
Ruturaj, previously serving as the Labour Commissioner of the state, brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
Educationally, Ruturaj completed his 10th from Jajpur Zilla School in 2007, followed by his Plus II in Science from Ravenshaw College. He pursued his graduation from Ravenshaw University with honors in Political Science and later attained a master's degree in International Relations from the School of International Studies (SIS) at JNU, New Delhi. Ruturaj's academic achievements include being a Ravenshaw Gold Medalist. Impressively, he cracked the UPSC examination without any formal coaching.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) had ordered the transfer of Dhenkanal Collector Manoranjan Mallick just yesterday.
