Naveen boosts incentives for Mission Shakti community support staff

Bhubaneswar, March 9: On Saturday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik made an announcement regarding a boost in incentives for Mission Shakti Community Support Staff, benefiting a total of 59,509 individuals.
Recognizing the remarkable efforts of Mission Shakti Community Support Staff in driving women empowerment across the state, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has decided to raise their incentive amounts to further motivate their valuable contributions, as stated in an official press release.
Among the 59,509 Community Support Staff, including MBK, CRP-CM, Bank Mitra, Prani Mitra, and Jeebika Sahayika, serving under Mission Shakti, those working at the gram panchayat level will reap the benefits of this enhancement. The increased incentives will be effective retrospectively from October 2023.
Under the new arrangement, MBK, Bank Mitra, and Jeebika Sahayika will receive Rs 10,750 per month, up from the previous Rs 6,750. Similarly, Krushi Mitra and Prani Mitra will now be entitled to Rs 6,250 instead of the earlier Rs 3,750 per month. Additionally, CRP-CM will see an increase to Rs 6,100 from the previous Rs 3,600.
To accommodate these enhancements and provide retrospective payments since October 2023, the State government has allocated an additional budget of Rs 96.51 crore.
It is noteworthy that during the visit of the 5T Chairman to the districts, the Community Support Staff raised the issue of increasing their incentive amounts, which has now been addressed by the State government.
