Low Pressure Intensifies Into Depression , IMD Issues Red and Orange Warning

The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday informed that the depression over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Odisha coast intensified into a Deep Depression and crossed the coast near Chandbali , early this morning . The system is most likely to move northwestwards and concentrate into a depression over the north-west Bay of Bengal off north Odisha and West Bengal coasts during the next 48 hours and then move west-north-west across North Odisha and north Chhattisgarh .
Further the Regional Meteorological Centre has issued Orange warning for for next 24 hrs as , it predicted heavy rainfall over Sundergarh , Boudh, Keonjhar , Dhenkanal , Khordha , Jagatsinghpur , Puri and Cuttack districts . It has also issued Redwarning for districts Sambalpur , Deogarh , Angul , Sonepur and Bargarh
