Chandikhol awaits PM Modi's arrival: Odisha ready for grand reception

Bhubaneswar, March 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a comprehensive three-day tour encompassing Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal, and Bihar starting Monday. During this excursion, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for projects valued at over Rs 1,10,600 crore.
In a statement shared on X, PM Modi expressed his anticipation for the forthcoming engagements, highlighting the diverse array of development initiatives set to be unveiled across Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and West Bengal. These initiatives are poised to catalyze transformation and improve livelihoods in various sectors.
The Prime Minister's itinerary includes a scheduled arrival in Odisha on Tuesday, where he is slated to address a public rally in Chandikhol, Jajpur district. Around 3:30 pm on Tuesday, he will inaugurate and lay foundations for numerous development ventures totaling over Rs 19,600 crore, spanning domains such as oil & gas, railways, roads, and atomic energy.
Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Ashwini Vaishnaw are expected to grace the official proceedings in Chandikhol, as per reports.
Preparations for the Prime Minister's Odisha visit are nearing completion, with heightened security measures in place at the rally venue. A contingent of 12 police platoons will be deployed for security during his visit, while the airport has been designated a high-security zone, with a temporary helipad set up in Jajpur.
Acting DGP of Odisha, Arun Kumar Sarangi, has overseen the security arrangements ahead of Modi's visit, which includes a security parade and carcade rehearsal scheduled for today. Additionally, the SPG team has arrived in Jajpur to assess security measures, with Inspector General of Police, Central, Ashish Singh, and SP Jajpur leading the security preparations.
