Berhampur, Feb 19: The community of Chudialanji village in Ganjam district was gripped by a veil of uncertainty following the discovery of a woman and her son deceased in their residence on Monday morning.

The deceased woman, identified as D Nilabati, and her son had been absent from the village for several days, arousing suspicion among the villagers. Concerned, they ventured to their home in the morning, only to find the door securely locked. Despite calling out to them, receiving no response, the villagers alerted the authorities.

Upon the arrival of the police, the villagers took action, breaking open the door, only to uncover the lifeless bodies of the mother and son within.

Authorities promptly recovered the bodies and initiated post-mortem procedures to determine the cause of death. Simultaneously, an investigation has been launched to unravel the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
