Odisha records temperature below 12°C across multiple locations

Bhubaneswar, Jan 13: The persistent cold wave maintains its grip on various regions of Odisha, with 11 locations in the state experiencing minimum temperatures below 12 degrees Celsius.
Kirei emerged as the coldest place in the state over the past 24 hours, as the mercury plummeted to 8.9 degrees Celsius. Other areas such as Koraput (9.0), Ranital (9.3), Keonjhar (10), and Rourkela (10) also endured cold conditions accompanied by chilly winds.
Furthermore, Jharsuguda recorded 10.4 degrees Celsius, Similiguda 10.2, Baripada 10.6, G Udaygiri 10.8, Phulbani 11.5, and Angul experienced a chill with temperatures at 11.6 degrees Celsius.
In contrast, the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded relatively milder temperatures, with Bhubaneswar at 15.5 degrees Celsius and Cuttack at 14.0 degrees Celsius.
