IMD warns of foggy conditions in Odisha over the next three days

Bhubaneswar, Jan 12: Despite a notable decrease in minimum temperatures (night temperatures) in various locations across Odisha over the past 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert on Friday for dense fog in several districts of the state over the next three days.
In the interim, shallow to moderate fog was reported at several places in Odisha, with instances of dense fog noted in Cuttack, Sonepur, and Kandhamal.
Minimum temperatures experienced a significant decline in a few places in north coastal Odisha and one or two locations in north interior Odisha. The weather office predicts a likely 2°C to 3°C decrease in minimum temperatures over the next 24 hours at select locations in Odisha, with no substantial change thereafter.
The highest maximum temperature, reaching 32.8°C, was recorded at Paralakhemundi, while the lowest minimum temperature, at 11.7°C, was noted in Rourkela in the plains of Odisha.
