Odisha CM unveils logo for First World Odia Language Conference

Bhubaneswar, Jan 11: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik revealed the emblem of the inaugural World Odia Language Conference on Thursday, featuring the tagline 'Language is the Future.'
Extending his best wishes for the conference scheduled from February 3 to 5, the Chief Minister expressed hope for its immense success. Emphasizing the significance of the event, he stated, "I anticipate this conference to provide a valuable platform for the exchange of ideas among intellectuals, researchers, scholars, and students."
Highlighting Odisha's distinction as the first linguistic state in modern India, he underscored the elevation of the Odia language to classical status, enhancing the prestige of the region and its language. The inaugural World Odia Conference aims to deliberate on the historical, contemporary, and future aspects of the Odia language, shaping objectives for its promotion, he added.
The Chief Minister emphasized the unique heritage carried by the Odia language, noting that the conference will explore avenues to instill greater appreciation for it among future generations. Discussions will also encompass leveraging modern technology for the language's advancement, charting a course of action for its future progress.
