Burglars strike in Gandamunda: Govt official's residence looted of gold and cash
Bhubaneswar, Jan 9:In the early hours of Tuesday, miscreants reportedly burglarized a government official's residence in Bhubaneswar, making away with gold ornaments valued at over Rs 8 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakh in cash.
The targeted house belonged to the Additional Director of the Panchayati Raj department in Gandamunda, situated under the jurisdiction of Khandagiri police limits. The burglary unfolded around 5 am, with a group of intruders gaining entry and absconding with the aforementioned valuables.
Upon receiving the information, the Khandagiri police promptly responded to the scene, assessing the situation. A formal case has been registered, and law enforcement is actively pursuing leads to apprehend the perpetrators involved.
