Odisha T20 League 2026 to begin at Barabati Stadium on September 18
Bhubaneswar, Aug 25: The Odisha T20 League 2026 is set to begin on September 18 at the iconic Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, with the tournament final scheduled to be played on September 27.
The 10-day competition will bring together cricketers from across Odisha, providing both established players and emerging talents with an opportunity to compete in a high-intensity T20 format. The league is expected to offer young cricketers valuable match exposure and experience while giving them a platform to showcase their skills.
Six franchises representing different regions of the State—Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Keonjhar, Puri, Rourkela and Sambalpur—will participate in the tournament. The regional representation is expected to add a strong local flavour to the competition while allowing players from different parts of Odisha to compete against quality opposition.
Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) Secretary Sanjay Behera welcomed the return of the league and expressed confidence about an exciting season at Barabati Stadium.
“We are very happy that the Odisha T20 League 2026 is set to begin on September 18. The tournament will continue until September 27, and we are looking forward to an exciting season of cricket at the Barabati Stadium,” Behera said.
He also highlighted the league’s importance in developing local talent. “The league provides a very important platform for cricketers from Odisha. It gives them the opportunity to play competitive cricket, gain valuable experience and showcase their talent. We hope this tournament will help many players take the next step in their careers,” he added.
The tournament is expected to further strengthen Odisha’s domestic cricket ecosystem and provide promising players with an opportunity to make their mark.
