Bhubaneswar, Jan 5: A tragic incident unfolded at Hi-Tech Hospital in the capital city on December 29 when the AC compressor exploded. 

Four people got hurt and were being treated in the ICU. Unfortunately, one of them, Dilip Samantray, passed away on December 30, and his family cremated him after a post-mortem. Overwhelmed by Dilip's death, his wife, Somashree, took her own life the next day.

However, on Thursday evening, there was a surprising twist. Another patient from the ICU, identified as Jyotirmoy Mallik, claimed to be Dilip Samantaray. This led to confusion, and the hospital authorities called Jyotirmoy's father to verify the patient's identity. During discussions with his father and doctors, 'Jyotirmoy' insisted he was Dilip Samantaray and accurately answered questions about his home, job, and in-laws.

Amid the uncertainty about the patient's identity, the hospital contacted the police, who are currently investigating the matter.
