Odia actor Biranchi Nayak arrested for assaulting police in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: Odia actor Biranchi Narayan Nayak was apprehended by Bharatpur police on charges of allegedly assaulting and behaving inappropriately towards law enforcement officials in the city.
According to police reports, Nayak, a resident of VIP Colony in Nayapalli, was traveling in a car late last night when police stopped the vehicle for routine checks at Kalinga Studio Chhak.
Upon police inquiry, Nayak disembarked from the car but proceeded to verbally abuse the officers and physically assault them.
Subsequently, law enforcement managed to restrain Nayak and escorted him to the Bharatpur police station. A case was filed against him in connection with the incident.
Following his arrest, he was presented before a local court for further proceedings.
