Odisha man accused of murdering wife appears at police station with severed head
Nayagarh, Dec 9: In a disturbing incident in Nayagarh district on Saturday, Arjun Bagh of Bidapaju village allegedly killed his wife and startlingly turned himself in to the police with her severed head.
Arjun, a daily laborer residing with his family, including wife Juli and two children, has found himself in the midst of a deteriorating relationship. Sources indicate that accusations of infidelity have strained their marriage, leading to frequent arguments where Juli vehemently refuted the allegations.
On Saturday, Arjun went out for work in the morning and returned home in the afternoon to discover Juli's absence. Concerned, he searched for her, only to find that she had returned in the meantime.
When asked about her whereabouts, Juli couldn't provide a satisfactory answer, intensifying Arjun's agitation. The dispute over alleged infidelity rekindled, resulting in a heated argument. As tensions escalated, Arjun reportedly assaulted Juli, and in a fit of rage, fatally struck her with a sharp weapon. Tragically, Juli succumbed to her injuries on the spot, lying in a pool of blood.
In a shocking twist, Arjun took the horrifying step of severing Juli's head and subsequently surrendered himself at the Banigochha police station.
