New Delhi, July 21: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described the recent examination paper leak incidents as a matter of national concern, asserting that protecting the future of the country's youth should remain the government's highest priority. Addressing members of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Parliamentary Party during the Monsoon Session of Parliament, the Prime Minister called for the strictest possible action against all those involved in paper leak conspiracies and urged political parties to refrain from politicising the issue.

Highlighting the importance of maintaining the credibility of India's examination system, PM Modi said that competitive examinations are the gateway to education and employment for millions of students. Any attempt to manipulate these examinations through illegal means directly undermines the aspirations of young people and weakens public confidence in the system. He stressed that ensuring transparency and fairness in examinations is essential for building trust among students and their families.

According to senior government leaders who attended the meeting, the Prime Minister instructed authorities to pursue the investigation with complete seriousness and ensure that every individual responsible for paper leaks is identified and punished in accordance with the law. He maintained that those attempting to profit by exploiting students' futures deserve no leniency and should face the toughest legal consequences.

The Prime Minister also appealed to all political parties to rise above partisan interests and work collectively to protect the interests of students. He stated that examination integrity is not a political issue but a national responsibility, and constructive cooperation would help strengthen the country's education and recruitment systems. He encouraged lawmakers to focus on practical solutions and meaningful reforms rather than engaging in political confrontation over the matter.

PM Modi further remarked that India's youth are filled with ambition and determination and are eager to contribute to the country's development. He said the government remains committed to creating an environment where merit, hard work and honesty are rewarded. He added that safeguarding examination processes is crucial for ensuring equal opportunities for every deserving candidate.

The paper leak controversy has generated widespread concern across the country, with several opposition parties demanding greater accountability and reforms in the conduct of competitive examinations. Student organisations have also voiced their anxiety, urging authorities to introduce stronger safeguards against leaks and improve the security of examination systems to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Government officials have reiterated that multiple agencies are actively investigating the alleged paper leak networks. Several arrests have already been made in connection with the case, while further investigations are underway to identify additional suspects and uncover the full extent of the racket. Authorities have indicated that stricter monitoring mechanisms, enhanced digital security measures and stronger legal provisions are being considered to prevent future breaches.
