London, July 20: England defeated India by 27 runs in the third and final One Day International (ODI) at Lord's to seal the three-match series 2-1. A commanding batting display followed by disciplined bowling helped the hosts secure their first bilateral ODI series victory over India in several years.

After winning the toss, England produced a massive total of 387/3 in their allotted 50 overs. Opener Ben Duckett starred with a brilliant 141, laying a solid foundation for the innings. Young batter Jacob Bethell provided excellent support with a fluent 91, while Joe Root remained unbeaten on 74.
