Odisha Governor congratulates PM Modi on becoming India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister
Bhubaneswar, Jun 10: Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati on Wednesday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India’s history, describing the achievement as a reflection of the trust and affection reposed in him by millions of citizens.
Taking to social media platform X, the Governor extended his heartfelt greetings to the Prime Minister. In his message, he said that Modi’s remarkable accomplishment marked a significant moment in India’s democratic journey and highlighted his unwavering commitment to public service and national development.
The Governor noted that the historic milestone was not merely a numerical record but a testament to the confidence people across the country have placed in Modi’s leadership over the years. He further stated that the Prime Minister’s dedicated service and efforts toward nation-building have earned him widespread respect and support.
The congratulatory message was shared with the hashtag #LongestServingElectedPMModi, which has been widely used by BJP leaders and supporters to mark the occasion.
Prime Minister Modi, who first assumed office in May 2014, has now completed an uninterrupted tenure of 4,399 days, surpassing the record held by India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru.
Nehru, who became Prime Minister after India’s first general elections in 1952, served continuously from May 13, 1952, until his demise on May 27, 1964, completing a tenure of 4,398 days.
BJP leaders across the country also hailed the achievement, describing Modi’s leadership over the past 12 years as transformative and instrumental in shaping a stronger, more self-reliant and globally influential India.
