Bengaluru, June 3: Karnataka entered a new political chapter on Wednesday as senior Congress leader D.K. Shivakumar was sworn in as the Chief Minister of the state. The oath-taking ceremony, held in Bengaluru, marked the official transfer of leadership within the ruling Congress government and drew the presence of senior party leaders, elected representatives, and supporters from across the state.

Shivakumar assumed office following the resignation of outgoing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who completed his tenure under the Congress leadership arrangement.
