‘Avaada Bharat Uday Yatra’ Reaches Bhubaneswar, Driving Grassroots Awareness on Clean Energy Adoption

Bhubaneswar : Continuing its nationwide journey to accelerate awareness around renewable energy, Avaada Group, one of India’s leading integrated energy transition conglomerates with a renewable energy portfolio of over 17.7 GWp, brought its flagship initiative, ‘Avaada Bharat Uday Yatra’,to Bhubaneswar, engaging citizens, communities, and local stakeholders in conversations around sustainable energy and climate-conscious living.

Flaggedoff from Noida on 8thMay 2026, the Yatra is a nationwide awareness movement aimed at strengthening grassroots understanding of renewable energy adoption and sustainable living, while supporting India’s transition toward a cleaner and more self-reliant energy future.

The custom-designed van has traversed nearly 2010kms covering four states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand & Odisha and seven cities so far. It continues to connect directly with communities through immersive on-ground activities and public engagement initiatives.

In Bhubaneswar, the Yatra witnessed enthusiastic participation from residents, students, and local institutions, reflecting growing public interest in renewable energy solutions such as solar, wind, and hydropower.

Speaking about the initiative, Mr Vineet Mittal, Chairman, Avaada Group, said, “Thetime is now to accelerate adoption to the green energy in India. Ata time when geopolitical uncertainties and disruptions in global fossil fuel supplychains continue to impact energy markets, India’s transition to clean energy is notjust an environmental priority but a strategic imperative for energy security and self-reliance. India stands at a defining moment in this journey, and the next phase mustbe driven by citizen participation. Through Avaada Bharat Uday Yatra, we aim tomake clean energy more accessible, relatable, and actionable—transforming awareness into a nationwide movement.”

During its halt in Bhubaneswar, the Yatra featured a series of engaging activities, including Nukkad Natak (street plays) to simplify renewable energy concepts, interactive myth-busting sessions addressing common misconceptions around clean energy, and opportunities for citizens to take a Digital Green Pledge, encouraging individual commitment toward sustainable practices.

The initiative witnessed strong participation from local citizens, fostering dialogue around energy efficiency, sustainability and community-led climate action.

Following its successful engagement in Bhubaneswar, the Yatra will continue its nationwide journey to Raipur, further expanding its outreach on clean energy awareness and sustainable living.

As a part of the “Avaada Bharat Uday Yatra”, two custom-designed vansare travelling across 9 states and 27 cities over 35 days, carrying the message of sustainability from cities to citizens.

Avaada Group has a renewable energy portfolio surpassing 17.7 GWp, including over 7.2 GWp of operational capacity and approximately 10.5 GWp under construction across the country. The company added more than 2 GWp capacity during FY 2025–26, reflecting strong execution capabilities and sustained growth momentum. Its businesses span renewable power generation, solar PV manufacturing, green hydrogen and its derivatives (including Green ammonia and green methanol), Green Data Centres, pumped storage projects and energy storage solutions.

‘Avaada Green Fuels’ is currently developing its first green ammonia project with a capacity of 0.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) in Odisha along with huge associated Renewable Energy. Avaada has secured India’s first design-stage certification for the project. The European certification agency TUV Rheinland has certified the project at its design stage, estimating its carbon intensity to be lower than the standards set by both the European Union and India for green hydrogen production.
