Odisha Govt approves 72 new posts for OUSSSC to boost efficiency
Bhubaneswar, April 15: In a move aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency, the Odisha Uniformed Services Staff Selection Commission will soon be strengthened with 72 new posts approved by the Odisha Government. The decision is expected to improve the commission’s institutional capacity and streamline recruitment processes.
According to an official communication issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department, the proposal has received the approval of the Governor of Odisha. The development was conveyed by Debabrata Mallick, Additional Secretary to the Government, in a letter addressed to the Accountant General (A&E), Odisha.
The newly sanctioned posts span multiple administrative levels, including one post each of Secretary and Additional Secretary, two Joint Secretaries, three Deputy Secretaries, and three Under Secretaries. Additional roles such as Accounts Officer, Desk Officer, Private Secretary, and Section Officer have also been approved.
Officials stated that the posts will be filled from various state service cadres like the Odisha Administrative Service and Odisha Finance Service, among others. Pay scales will be determined as per the provisions of the ORSP Rules, 2017.
