Woman falls to death from four-storey building in Paradip
Bhubaneswar, Feb 23: A woman died after allegedly falling from the fourth floor of a building in the Tarinigada area of Paradip late Sunday night under mysterious circumstances. It is yet to be ascertained whether the incident was accidental or a case of suicide.
The identity of the deceased remains unknown. Her body was discovered lying face down on the ground without clothes, raising several questions. In a puzzling detail, her dress was found hanging from a pipeline midway down the building. Personal belongings, including a pair of slippers, a mosquito coil, and a cigarette, were reportedly scattered on the rooftop.
On receiving information, Paradip Adarsh Police Station personnel reached the spot, seized the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination.
Sources said nine young men were staying as tenants on the upper floor of the building. However, the house owner claimed the deceased woman was not a resident, making her presence there a mystery. Police have seized CCTV footage and the hard disk from the premises and detained seven tenants for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.
