Green PUCC stickers to be issued from January 10; Odisha Transport dept sets clear guidelines
Bhubaneswar, Jan 2: The Odisha Transport Department has announced that green PUCC validity stickers will be issued from January 10, 2026, to vehicles holding a valid Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC). The move aims to streamline pollution compliance and help enforcement agencies easily identify vehicles that meet emission norms.
As per an official notification, vehicle owners who already possess a valid PUCC can collect the green sticker from their respective Regional Transport Offices (RTOs). To ensure smooth distribution, dedicated counters will be set up at all RTOs across the state.
The department has clarified that only vehicles with a valid PUCC will be eligible for the green sticker. RTO officials have been instructed to verify the pollution certificate, vehicle registration details, and records available on the VAHAN database before issuing the sticker.
To obtain the sticker, vehicle owners must produce the original or digital PUCC, a copy of the Registration Certificate (RC), and a valid identity proof. If the sticker is collected by an authorised person, an authorisation letter signed by the vehicle owner along with identity proofs of both individuals will be required.
January 10, 2026, has been fixed as the cut-off date. Vehicles tested up to January 9 will receive stickers from RTOs, while those tested on or after January 10 will get stickers directly from authorised PUC centres.
