Bhubaneswar, Dec 15: In a major boost to traditional systems of medicine, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced a substantial increase in stipends for postgraduate students pursuing studies in government Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic colleges across Odisha. The decision is aimed at encouraging more students to take up careers in Ayurveda and Homoeopathy while easing their financial burden during advanced medical training.
According to the revised structure, effective January 1, 2026, the monthly stipend for first-year PG students will rise by 55 per cent, from Rs 31,000 to Rs 48,000.
