Bhubaneswar, Oct 15: In a shocking incident, the owner of a private play school in Angul town has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a lady teacher employed at his institution. The accused has been identified as Sanket Kumar Sharma, who runs the play school located on Gandhi Marg under the jurisdiction of Angul Town Police Station.

According to police sources, the incident came to light after the victim lodged a formal complaint alleging that Sharma had earlier proposed to her, which she firmly rejected. Following this, when the school premises were empty, the accused allegedly sexually assaulted her. Based on her statement, police registered a case and began an immediate investigation.

After gathering preliminary evidence, the Angul Police arrested Sharma and subsequently produced him before the court. The victim has also been provided medical assistance and counseling as part of the investigation process.

Police officials have confirmed that further investigation is underway to collect additional evidence and verify all claims related to the incident. The case has sparked widespread outrage in the local community.
