Bhubaneswar, Aug 30: In a shocking incident, the body of a young man was discovered inside the toilet of the Purushottam Express at Bhubaneswar railway station on Saturday, creating panic among passengers and staff.

According to sources, the grim discovery was made by a sanitation worker during routine cleaning of the train after its arrival. On noticing the lifeless body, the worker immediately informed the railway authorities, who in turn alerted the Government Railway Police (GRP).

A GRP team rushed to the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem to ascertain the exact cause of death. The identity of the deceased is yet to be confirmed. Preliminary reports suggest that the youth might have boarded the train earlier, though it remains unclear whether the death was accidental, self-inflicted, or the result of foul play.

GRP officials have launched a detailed probe, examining CCTV footage and questioning railway staff to piece together the sequence of events. Passengers have been urged to remain calm as investigations continue. Further details will emerge once the post-mortem and inquiry findings are available.
