23 Jawans Missing After Flash flood Create Havoc In Sikkim

There have been reports of flash floods in the Teesta River at Lochen Ghat due to sudden cloudbursts over Lonak Lake in North Sikkim. Some military camps in the valley have been affected
According to Reports, due to the release of water from Chungthang Dam, the water level in the downstream has suddenly increased to 15-20 feet. Due to this, army vehicles parked at Bardang near Singtam have been affected. It is also reported that around 23 soldiers are missing and some vehicles are submerged in the mud. The search operation continues. Army jawans from neighboring states have arrived in Sikkim to join the rescue operation.
