Odisha CM congratulates PM Modi on receiving Cyprus’ highest civilian honour
Bhubaneswar, June 16: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended his heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on being awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Makarios III, the highest civilian honour of Cyprus. The prestigious award was conferred in recognition of PM Modi’s efforts to promote global peace, cooperation, and India's growing leadership on the world stage.
Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Chief Minister Majhi praised the Prime Minister’s visionary global leadership, emphasizing that India is emerging as a "Vishwashakti", gaining global pride, admiration, and respect. He also lauded PM Modi’s deep-rooted commitment to universal brotherhood and global harmony, stating that such honours reflect India’s rising stature in the international arena.
The CM wrote: “Heartiest congratulations to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji on being conferred the Grand Cross of the Order of Makarios III... Wishing you many more such honours as Bharat continues to lead the world.”
PM Modi’s visit to Cyprus is significant as it marks the first official visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the island nation in over two decades, reflecting strengthened bilateral ties between the two countries.
