Man allegedly strangles wife to death after quarrel, abandons body at Capital Hospital

Bhubaneswar, June 2: In a disturbing incident in Bhubaneswar, a man allegedly strangled his wife to death following a heated argument on Sunday night and fled after abandoning her body at Capital Hospital. The deceased woman has been identified as Nandita Behera, while the accused is her husband, Gupteswar Behera.
According to reports, the couple was involved in a verbal altercation late on Sunday. Family members stated that frequent disputes had strained their relationship in recent months. On this particular night, the argument reportedly escalated to a violent level, resulting in Gupteswar allegedly strangling Nandita in a fit of rage.
After committing the crime, Gupteswar reportedly transported Nandita’s lifeless body to Capital Hospital. Shockingly, he abandoned the body there without informing anyone and fled the scene. Hospital authorities alerted the police after discovering the unattended body.
The incident came to light after Nandita’s family accused Gupteswar of murder. Police have launched an investigation into the case and are currently on the lookout for Gupteswar, who remains absconding. A case of murder has been registered, and efforts are underway to trace the accused.
