Bhubaneswar, May 15: In a shocking incident, a young woman died under mysterious circumstances after allegedly falling from the second floor of an OYO hotel in the Jagamara area of Bhubaneswar on Wednesday night. The deceased has been identified as Sonali Mahapatra, a resident of Nayagarh district.

According to preliminary reports, Sonali was staying at the hotel with her fiancé when the tragic incident occurred. She reportedly fell from the second-floor balcony, but the exact reason behind the fall remains uncertain. It is still unclear whether it was an accident, a case of suicide, or the result of foul play.

Following the incident, the Khandagiri police reached the spot and recovered Sonali’s blood-soaked body. The body was sent for post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death. Her fiancé, who was present at the hotel during the time of the incident, has been detained for questioning.

Police have launched a thorough investigation and are exploring all possible angles, including any disputes or suspicious behavior, to uncover the truth behind the young woman’s untimely and tragic death.
