Bhubaneswar, April 21: A gruesome incident came to light on Monday in Haladi village under Chandahandi police limits of Nabarangpur district, where a man allegedly murdered his wife and concealed her body inside the wooden box of a bed before fleeing.
The accused, identified as Yuddhar Singh Nayak of Haladi village, had married Anita Sori of Bhatrawahali village in Chhattisgarh’s Devbhog area through traditional Vedic rituals. The couple shared a two-year-old daughter.
According to reports, the couple had a heated altercation on Saturday, which turned violent. In a shocking turn of events, Yuddhar allegedly killed Anita, locked the house, and fled the village.
