Rukuna Rath Yatra of Lord Sri Lingaraj Has Begun

Rukuna Rath Yatra of Lord Sri Lingaraj Has Begun

Bhubaneswar: Today is the holy Ashokastami. On this occasion, the Rukuna Rath Yatra of Lord Sri Lingaraj has begun. Lord Sri Lingaraj has set out in an unmarked chariot. That is why the Ekamra khetra is bustling. After the completion of the rituals of Lord Sri Lingaraj, the Rath Yatra has begun. Today, Sri Lingaraj is traveling in a Rukuna Rath and going to his maternal aunt's house. After staying there for four days, he will return to his temple. Today, Sri Lingaraj's Rukuna Rath was pulled 2 hours late and was stopped at Badheibanka Square.

Due to sunset, Lord Sri Lingaraj's Rukuna Rath has stopped at Badheibanka Square. Due to sunset, the Rath Yatra has not been pulled. It has been informed that the Rukuna Rath will be pulled again tomorrow morning after rituals .

Today, the famous Rukuna Rath Yatra of Lord Sri Lingaraj has begun. The Rath Yatra has started two hours late from the scheduled time. Earlier, the time was fixed that the chariot would start at 3:30 pm. But today the chariot started at around 5:30 pm. The sound of Haribol, Hulhuli and Harhar Mahadev along with the sound of bells created a spiritual atmosphere. The devotees pulled the Rukuna Rath of Lord Sri Lingaraj with joy and enthusiasm. The devotees were emotional while pulling the Rukuna Rath. The devotees were given darshan of Sri Lingaraj on the chariot. Even where the chariot was parked, the devotees were seen worshipping Sri Lingaraj with coconuts, banana and incense sticks. It has been informed that the Rukuna Rath will start again tomorrow.

Earlier yesterday water was received from the Marichi Kunda on Friday night for the installation of the Rath. Along with this, the villagers were present and installed the Rath at night. 16 platoons of police force have been deployed to maintain peace and order during the Rath towing.

As per the schedule, the Mangala Alathi and Abakash Nithi were completed between 5 am and 5:30 am. Sahan Mela Darshan, Rosh Homa and cooking were completed between 5:30 am and 6:30 am. The presence was cleaned between 6:30 am and 7 am. Similarly, Mahaprabhu's Mahasnan, Besha, Surya Puja, Dwarapala Puja were performed between 7 am and 8 am. The morning rituals was performed between 8 am and 9:15 am. There was a delay in Yatra Puja, Sr Lingaraj's Pahandi and Ratharudha Nithi. As a result, the puja ceremony was completed in the chariot, 2 hours behind schedule, and then the chariot procession began.
