Bhubaneswar, March 7: A shocking case of domestic violence has emerged from Rajamunda in Sundergarh district, where a man brutally killed his wife over suspicion of an extramarital affair. The accused, Mangal Oram, had a history of physically abusing his wife due to his persistent doubts.

On the night of the incident, a heated argument broke out between the couple. The altercation quickly escalated, and in a fit of rage, Mangal grabbed a brick and crushed his wife’s head near their residence. The woman succumbed to her injuries on the spot.

Hearing the commotion, locals rushed to the scene and immediately alerted the police. Authorities arrived and arrested Mangal Oram, initiating an investigation into the gruesome crime.

Sadar SDPO Manas Ranjan Mohapatra and Town Police Station Officer-in-Charge Anil Kumar Samal are leading the probe. The police are also gathering statements from neighbors and relatives to understand the background of the dispute. The accused is now in custody, awaiting further legal proceedings.
